November 15, Cecil passed away after no quality of life for 1 1/2 years. It's been a busy few weeks, getting Mom's financial life lined out....I think I almost have.
We had our first snow of the season today....about 4 inches so far. I've loved it.
Not much else to tell....just trying to catch my breath and think my own thoughts for awhile.

I'm thinkin I need some Hobby Lobby yarn today....don't like Walmart yarn much anymore....especially Red Heart...too scratchy, not soft. It's very foggy this morning, but sun is trying to burn it off. Heard The Boy leave for work at 6:45....I guess The Other Boy is at school by now. Today, so far, is a "no plan" day. I smell adventure..... : ))

Went to breakfast by myself this morning. I liked it. Then grocery shopped. Then came back and made breakfast for everybody else. Rainy, grey day here in Nicholasville.
Feb. 20, 2010
By most people's standards, this has been a brutal winter. Dangerously cold temperatures and winds....much snow...missed school days...I have loved it. I've spent much of it in a hot bath. We've spent time watching tv together and napping...and eating...I had the privilege one morning of waking up my little grandson to say "No school...go back to sleep."
New Year 2010
It's now January 5th. We got thru the holidays which I abhor. My life would be easier, SO MUCH EASIER, if I could not think outside the box...oh well....not gonna happen.
This is the coldest weather I ever remember. I love it, love it. Course, having electrical power, a good home, money, plenty food and a good vehicle makes it easy to say I love it. I can't forget the ones who have to find someplace to lay their heads at night.
My unka is starting this year out with many, many hardships, healthwise. I pray for his healing and peace of mind. He has good people around him, for sure.
I plan to just stay in today and enjoy watching occasional flurries outside.
The ending of 09....
The end of 2009 is drawing near. Time to get ingredients for Christmas dinner together in one place. My menu this year is pot roast in the crock pot, corn on the cob, broccoli casserole, scalloped potatoes, Sister Shubert's rolls, and hot fudge cake with chocolate syrup. Kevin is coming and Heather will return from Maces Creek that day. Ben and Matthew are staying down there until Sunday. I will post again after it's all done and eaten!!
