The Uprooting...

Also, failed to mention in my earlier post. My little Mommy, who had lived in Little Leatherwood ALL OF HER 77 YEARS, had to leave the only home she'd ever known to move here to Nicholasville where Cecil could get good care. Thanks be to the Universal Intelligence that we were already here and settled in for 4 years. But she couldn't have known how happy she'd be here. Total shock to us AND her! And the place nextdoor to us was available, for the first time in years....and while we were peering in the windows, checking it out, up comes the landlord, whom we had never met and he said, "Yeah, you can go in and look at it!" What were the odds of that....he NEVER comes around. We'd been here 4 years and never laid eyes on him. So, then we go shopping for furniture and other things to make her life easy. I don't believe she has ever, EVER had anybody actually physically take care of her, since she was Fat Granny's baby..although I'm sure Cecil was good to her. But now, she's taken care of....daily....her food is carried to her every evening....we watch her walk to her door every single night after our card games to make sure she gets there....she's had a hard year, but buddy, she's landed in a bed of TLC. And we love it as much as she does.
